Bishop McHugh School is a Preschool- gr. 8 regional school in Cape May County with a student centered curriculum grounded in the Gospel values. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and follows state and national standards. The school is part of the Diocese of Camden, and is supported by the four regional parishes of Avalon/Stone Harbor, Cape May Court House, Marmora/Woodbine and Sea Isle City.
To qualify for the Pre-K (age 3 & 4) program, the child must turn 3 years old prior to September 1st. To qualify for Transitional 3s, the child must be 2 years old as of September 1st. To qualify for the 4-year old level, the child must turn 4 years old prior to September 1st. 'Starters!' Transitional 3 program: Must be 2 years or older by September 1. Children do not have to be potty trained. 'Starters' will experience their first time classroom as they become comfortable in a nurturing new school setting.

Academically, the students of Bishop McHugh are successful because of knowledgeable teachers using current programs and resources, including all of the latest technologies. Students are motivated and encouraged to participate in activities beyond the four walls of the classroom: social activities, athletics/ sports, and service to others. Numerous extra-curricular programs are offered throughout the school year.
