Through the Recreation Department of Cape May, we offer classes, camps and other programs for children and families. Classes and family swims are held at Cape May City Elementary School Pool: 921 Lafayette Street.

TOT & PARENT SWIM: 6 months -3yrs old. This class will focus on ways for you to enjoy the water with your child, as well as emphasize parental teaching methods for water adjustment and skills. An adult must be in the water with the child throughout the class time. This class is designed to make your child more comfortable in the pool and enjoy being around water.Monday 5:45pm -6:30pm 8 classes -$80.

SWIM LESSONS: 4 to 6 years old -Preschool Level 1-2-3. This program series introduces children to the aquatic environment and helps teach water safety with the Longfellow “Whales Tales” program. Skills at this level may be performed with support as the children gain experience. Swimmers completing Level 3 skills enroll in Learn to Swim Level 1-2-3. No parents are needed in the pool and children must be potty-trained. Proof of age required.Tues. & Thurs. 4pm -4:45pm. 8 classes -$80
