Charleston Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build decent, affordable housing.

Charleston Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1989 after Hurricane Hugo. We are an independent affiliate a Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, Christian, ecumenical organization with a mission to end poverty and substandard housing by providing simple, green, and affordable homeownership and home repair opportunities in partnership with local, qualified families in need.
