This week's Family Movie Night recommendation is a Netflix original, that is being released on November 6th. Operation Christmas Drop follows Erica, a congressional aide who is sent by her boss to investigate a US Air Force base which has been using military cargo planes to drop gifts and supplies to remote islands on the holiday. It stars The Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham and The Hunger Games’ Alexander Ludwig. The film is inspired by the real Operation Christmas Drop, the longest running humanitarian airlift in the world. Every year since 1952, U.S. Air Force personnel at Anderson deliver toys, food, medicine and much-needed supplies to residents of dozens of tiny islands in Micronesia.
This Rom Com is sweet and is age appropriate for elementary age to tween.
