As concert goers and local favorites The Hooten Hallers serenade Mojo’s at 1013 Park Avenue with a rowdy rendition of Auld Lang Syne, the clock will run out not just on 2014, but also on Mojo’s. Beginning at midnight on January 1st, the popular downtown venue will be renamed Rose Music Hall, a continuing tribute to local musician, writer and humorist Forrest Rose, and his namesake park on the property.

“In talking with (former owner) Richard King, it was apparent how important Forrest Rose was to developing the music community of Columbia,” said Leslie. “So since the park was already named after him, we thought we'd tie the whole thing together and rename the venue for him as well.”
