1 Parents Love It!
I created Henny Penny Preschool over 6 years ago as a place to give preschool children a chance to learn and grow not only academically but socially and emotionally. I wanted to create an environment where a child has the opportunity to explore and discover the world around them. At our school, an onlooker can find children painting by an oak tree, swinging from a rope, climbing on a “pirate” fort, scooping and pouring, swinging on the swings, running freely and interacting with teachers, parents and friends.
I also wanted to create a preschool where a child can learn and be prepared for the years ahead but I did not want the children to feel the pressures of learning. I am fortunate to have taught Kindergarten for many years and know what standards are being placed on the child. I am fortunate as well to have had such great mentors that have taught me to teach with a hands-on, natural approach. The goal is to teach the kids that learning is fun.
