The mission of the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation is to enhance the beauty and experience of Lee County's Lakes Regional Park in Fort Myers, FL. We raise the funds to provide amenities to the park. We manage the Botanic Garden, including Fragrance Garden, Community Garden, and Children's Garden. We grow vegetables for donation to the Community Cooperative soup kitchen. We provide educational tours and programming, including Botanic Garden tours, StoryTime in the Garden (for the pre-school crowd and their parents), EZ Rider golf card tours and more. We provide free entertainment at the Lakes Park Fall Festival by producing Scarecrows in the Park, a multi-prize scarecrow-building competition. We have many and varied volunteer opportunities, especially for students.
