MORE DETAILS:

Join Philharmonia Northwest for the world premiere of '€œThe Goose Egg'€, the tale of an elephant mothering a baby goose, with music newly written by Seattle composer Angelique Poteat, based on the book by Seattle children'€™s book author and illustrator Liz Wong. The story will be narrated by the beloved Lisa Bergman, host of King FM. Also on the concert is the first African-American composer recognized on the national stage: William Grant Still. His '€œDances of Panama'€ from 1948 incorporate folk melodies of the Caribbean and lively Afro-Latin rhythms. This concert is sure to entertain the whole family!
