Looking for detailed posting guidelines for businesses? Check out: Hulafrog for Business Owners.
Keep it Clean. (No profanity, please.)
Be Fair and Honest. (Don’t review an arch enemy, a class you never attended or a business because the owner bribed you. (OK, we know you would never consider doing any of the above, but just had to clear the air.)
Be Specific. (The more specific the information, the better...best ages, best times to go, why you loved it, or things like “don’t leave without seeing X.”)
And Have Fun! (You don’t have to be a great writer to contribute to Hulafrog. Just enjoy reliving your experiences and HulaFans will love you for it. Whether it’s lite and breezy or serious and in-depth, each contribution makes Hulafrog a more compelling place to visit.
You can review any Hulafrog-listed business or organization, or the individual activities (events, classes, camps, teams or places) they offer. Simply view the listing, click the ‘Add a Review’ button and start tapping those fingers.
The best reviews are personal, specific and offer helpful suggestions, such as an insider tip or two. The most useful reviews make mention of unique qualities that make the business/organization or activity special, or the type of person it’s best suited for (such as kids 7-10 interested in science or girls who are gaga over princesses).
Not often. But in some cases a member of the Hulafrog team will remove a review (and will typically email the writer to let them know) if it doesn’t follow these guidelines:
Sure. We want to hear about your good and bad experiences. We just ask that you play nice. Be fair. And use your words. Be specific about why the experience was not what you had hoped for and why. That said, we discourage uncalled for negativity, name calling and profanity. We’ll say it again—hula, happy, kids...
Nope...not a good idea. Let your customers do the talking. Businesses and Organization owners or employers should read Hulafrog for Business Owners before posting content.
You should never accept freebies or discounts in exchange for reviews. For example, if an amusement park owner offers you a day free at the park in exchange for a 5-star review, please refrain!
A member can add Events, Classes, Camps, Teams or Places to Go by submitting the Add Something New Form. This form will be reviewed by Hulafrog staff and posted if appropriate, meaning:
It is local
It is geared toward children from 0-12
It is being hosted by a verifiable business or organization
It does not already exist on Hulafrog.com
Activities geared toward moms without their kids. For example, do NOT post a special “Spa Night for Working Moms” or a “Moms Yoga Class.” Although we love you moms, Hulafrog is for kids’ activities.
Classes or other activities that are not produced by verifiable businesses. For example, if your neighbor decides to host an arts and crafts class in her home for neighborhood kids, don’t post it on Hulafrog. Unless it is a licensed business, it is not appropriate for Hulafrog.com.
Hulafrog staff will likely remove the listing you submitted. But, please give yourself a pat on the back—your listing may have encouraged the business or organization to start listing their activities on Hulafrog.
