New Directions is moving people out of poverty and homelessness by helping them regain their financial footing, build self-worth and self-confidence, and make a move into permanent housing to achieve self-sufficiency.

New Directions operates 4 shelters along the Grand Strand to assist men, women, and families with emergency, non-emergency, long term, and transitional housing. We exceed the basic provisions of food and shelter by providing recovery classes, job readiness classes, permanent housing assistance, and long-term case management.
