Special Needs Programs Offered
Depicting a Kansas family farm in the early 1900s, the Farmstead has over 200 animals, stores, a country schoolhouse and more.
The Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead remains one of the top family attractions in metropolitan Kansas City, In 2015, more than 460,000 visitors saw firsthand how a Kansas farm life was like in the early 1900s. Small shops representing commerce in a rural town have also been established, as well as a one-room country schoolhouse,
The Farmstead opened in 1978 but was renamed Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead in 1985 after Overland Park Police Officer Deanna Rose was killed in the line of duty.
Admission is $3 per person on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Admission is $3 per person from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
Guests visit the Farmstead for free after 2 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
Friends of the Farmstead members visit for free anytime.
