MORE DETAILS:

Blue River Forest Experience (BRFE) endeavors to cultivate and help sustain people with deeper awareness, appreciation, and devotion to nature, themselves, and others.

We know how important it is to get your kids out of their routines and into things that feed their souls. Plant seeds my friends. Your children will thank you. ;) You’ll also want to be at each experience from the beginning to end because we circle up and have a whole process to immerse the kids into learning about the wild edibles, the forest, the world around them, and each other with fun games and activities. It’s all about building healthy and happy community and time to connect with your kids in deep and meaningful ways through having fun!

Blue River Forest School is for sharing activities for all ages of children, teens, and families in Nature. Kelly Daniels started the group because of the phenomenal impact a nature camp in Oregon called Coyote Trails School of Nature had on her boys. Kelly wanted to help other people have these experiences with their families and began the school after not finding a space to do so in the Midwest. Kelly, Ben, and Sam Daniels have now been part of Coyote Trails School of Nature for the last 12 years. They have been both instructors and facilitators at the Blue River Forest School as well as Coyote Trails.

The Blue River Forest School hosts family experiences for all ages by teaching, photography, healthy lifestyles and food, basic living and awareness skills in nature.

“One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.” -Carl Jung
