MORE DETAILS:

The Round Rock Sports Center is an 83,000 square foot state of the art facility built by the City of Round Rock to fill the need for an indoor sporting venue in The Sports Capital of Texas.

The gym floor at the Sports Center can hold twelve volleyball, six high school basketball, or three NCAA basketball games simultaneously, and is not limited to ball sports. In addition, the Sports Center is able to host a variety of sporting and other events, including wrestling tournaments, martial arts, cheer and dance competitions, and special occasions such as concerts or banquets. Three multi-purpose rooms border the south side of the gym floor, and can be rented for meetings, classes and parties.

The facility boasts permanent seating for over 700 spectators with additional bleachers and chairs available, sports training amenities and equipment, advanced audio and visual components throughout, concessions service and a dining area.

The Sports Center’s construction was partially funded by Proposition 9, voted on and passed by the citizens of Rock Rock, which approved a hotel occupancy tax increase. Texas state law states hotel taxes may only be used to promote tourism, and as the premier indoor sports facility in Central Texas, the Sports Center attracts athletes, coaches, teams, their families and spectators from near and far, bringing visitors to Round Rock who support local hotels, restaurants and retail businesses.
