Winter is Here!

The forecast this winter at Sci-Port Discovery Center is calling for SNOW and ICE!! So, gather your holiday sweaters and prepare for a blustery season at our new exhibition, Sno-Port: Icicle Forest now through January 31st.

Sno-Port was created by a variety of local fabricating, lighting, and engineering professionals and artists.

In preparation to meet the emerging educational demands of STEM in local and national education, the team has developed activities that highlight a variety of science fields, including geoscience, biology, physics, mathematics, architecture, engineering, computer science, and chemistry.

Sno-Port consists of fifteen fun, interactive snow and ice-themed exhibits designed for people of all ages, displays, and games as well as information about the science and wonder of snow and ice for visitors and students.

Fridays and Saturdays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sundays - 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Please note that all current State of Louisiana Covid-19 Pandemic Rules and Regulations will be in effect during Sno-Port. Every guest eight years and older must wear a mask; all tactile exhibits will be cleaned on a regular schedule; social distancing will be enforced, and hand-sanitizing stations are strategically placed throughout the center.
