HulaQ Infographic October 2019 - What happens to your Halloween Candy on November 1

SURVEY SUMMARY

QUESTION:

"What happens to the Halloween candy in your house on November 1?

ANSWERS:

  • 45% - It's hidden from the sugar-crazed kids and reasonably rationed out over the coming days.
  • 13% - Other (see below for our fave responses)
  • 12% - It's outta here! (Donate it, trash it, bury it in the back yard - just get rid of it!)
  • 11% - Cash in at a local candy BuyBack event. (Thank you, Dear Dentists!)
  • 10% - The kids had their chance - let MOM & DAD at it!
  • 8% - We let the kids continue to chow down - it's only once a year.
  • 0% - It's stored and saved for next year.

HERE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVE “OTHER” ANSWERS:

They get to keep some of their favorites and the rest the leave for the “Switch Witch” / “Great Pumpkin” who trades candy for a toy/book.”

It’s put away to decorate the gingerbread house in December.”

We keep some and send the rest to school for the teachers' candy jars."
