Bring your natural curiosity and craftiness into this FREE live learning sessions by Penn Museum educators! Join these 60-minute sessions, perfect for elementary to middle school kids, to dig deeper into world cultures, archaeology, or anthropology with demonstrations of hands-on projects you can try at home. Kids will learn about one of Mexico'€™s best-known traditions: '€œThe Day of the Dead.'€ and see how the riches of the country'€™s geography connect to the deep meaning of this holiday'€™s traditional altars, while discovering the symbolism of each element. This workshop concludes with a craft activity, related to the festival, and a reading of poetry in Nahuatl, the language of the powerful Aztecs.
