MORE DETAILS:

Brooklyn-based artist Sophia Dawson creates large-scale murals that focus on individuals who have overcome injustices. In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we will discuss how Dr. King overcame racial injustices and gave a voice to our dreams. Using both of these individuals as inspiration, we will paint a mural of someone who inspires us with their resiliency, such as a parental figure, teacher, neighbor, or friend.

CMA Associate Director of Museum Programming Raquel Du Toit leads her popular Club CMA with Raquel class as part of Free Fridays, which provide free access to our most popular CMA Live! classes while amplifying important community topics.
