My older son got one when he was 5 or 6 and this one was for my 3 year old, they both loved it no matter the age. The fins do come off on occasion but the main stomping part of the toy is long lasting so it'll still be in good shape if you need to buy additional rockets. I think the pump and tube of our first one is still working actually and it's at least 4 or 5 years old." - eeg
