In this Black History Month class, we will discuss why Black History Month should be incorporated into young people's (and adults') learning throughout the year. We will share how to have conversations about race and skin color with young people through creativity and art. We will create our own portraits using basic paint colors and then store them in a jar to be used for other crafts throughout the year. We will go through the process of naming/celebrating our skin colors. This class is perfect for beginners (especially young children around 5 and up)!
